Heinz Strunk, born in 1962 in Bevensen near Hamburg, is a writer, musician, and actor.

His first bestseller was "Fleisch ist mein Gemüse". This was followed by further major successes: the novel "Ein Sommer in Niendorf", which he also adapted for the stage; the novel "Zauberberg 2", and the collection of short stories "Kein Geld kein Glück kein Sprit", for which he was awarded the Bremen Literature Prize in 2026.

In 2024, Lappan published "Die Käsis," his first picture book, aimed primarily at adults. A year later came "Graf Fauchi und das verschwundene Gebiss," the first adventure of the elderly Count, who finds himself in Hamburg in the second volume "Graf Fauchi und das Tor zur Welt". In 2026, Carlsen Comics published the first volume of the graphic novel adaptation of his novel “Der goldene Handschuh,” illustrated by Ully Arndt.
